trip to llanera, kapagayan festival
Palay, it is the main product of municipality of Llanera. It is because three fourths of the total land area of the municipaltiy is use for the production of rice. This induced the Mayor of Llanera is organizing a festival. A festival which unite all the community people of Llanera. United people which aims to promote their main product, the palay. And they called the event, KAPAGAYAN FESTIVAL.

Kapagayan festival started since 2009 to give thanks for the fruitful harvest of the farmers. The festival lasts for 5 days, from May 7 to May 11. It is celebrated alongside the founding aniversarry of the Municipality of Llanera.

This festival is much-awaited by the Llaneranos because the event is so lively and colorful. All the 22 barangays of the Municipality are helping each other towards the beautification of the festival. There is also a contest in which each barangay should have an entry. It is a contest which each barangay will be making their own 'Bahay Kubo'. Each of the contenders are giving out their best for them to get not only the prize but also to be the champion. Each barangay entry is headed by SK Officials. There is also a contest in lifting a sack of palay by using the mouth/teeth of the contestant.

It is common here in the Philippines that in every festival there is a competition of street dancing. In the Kapagayan Festival, street dancing is participated by the schools within the municipality, barangays and the places around Llanera. The competition is watch by hundreds of peope from the different places. The costumes of the contestants are very appealing to the eyes of the viewers which attracts more tourist year after year. I once experience competing in this contest together with my fellow 'kabarangay'. Eventhough tiring I can say to be that it is worth it because the cash prize is big enough plus I had the chance to be seen on TV.

In the next Kapagayan Festival I will make sure that I can attend to these different events. I am also looking forward that you guys can also attend in this festival. That time, I will be accompanying you in roaming around our municipality.

Some of the activities that the Filipinos are fond of are watching movies in the theater, taking a walk in the park and spending their time in the mall. Usually every summer people love to go to beach resorts or to provate resort. That's why Pascua family comes up with an idea of building a resort, and they named it Villa Valentina Resort.

Good day!. I just want to introduce our Municipality. Llanera lies at the heart of the province of Nueva Ecija. A rural area which majority of its lang is comprised of ricefields. The town's economy is largely agricultural, with rice as the principle product. It is a land of plains with frew creeks a small dam and a river the only water bodies bissecting the plains. There are no mountain ranges in the municipality. Principal industry and commerce are related to the production of rice and rice products. Minor products include onion growing cattle raising and vegetable production. Though small, this municipality has its own beauty, not only in terms of places but also the events and people in this town, which only few people knows. This is the reason why i want to feature our municipality. To let other people unleash the beauty of my hometown.

Llanera Welcome Arch
If you will be coming from Cabanatuan City and you are about to go to Rizal, Nueva Ecija, you'll see an arch at the boundary of Talavera and Llanera, This is the arch of Llanera. Though it is small, the arch is very symbolic because anyone can see all the products which our municipality produces. This route also serves as a 'shortcut' for the community people of San Jose City and other places in the North in going to Cabanatuan City and other places in Nueva Ecija's southern parts. Aside from being 'shortcut' route, it is also good to drive this way because, the road does not have traffic at all and it is cemented.
trip to llanera, llanera nueva ecija, llanera event, llanera bueatiful places

While driving down the roads of Llanera, you can see different farms crops like watermelon, onion, and rice. Each time when I accompany my Uncle to harvest and sell watermelons down the roadside, everything were sold out. Its like everyone is very eager to buy one. Some buys to quench their thirst while traveling. Some buys for their loved ones back home.
